To become a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor, you'll need to pass three DVSA tests. Here's what each involves and how we support you through them.
Theory & Hazard Perception
Part 1
A 100-question multiple-choice test and a hazard perception video test. We'll help you prepare with access to our Theory+ platform and practice materials.
Driving Ability
Part 2
A practical test of your own driving — eyesight, vehicle safety questions and a 40-minute drive including manoeuvres. We provide mock tests and coaching to keep your driving at ADI standard.
Instructional Ability
Part 3
A test of your ability to teach — two 30-minute role-play scenarios. We provide mentoring, lesson planning support and real-world practice to get you through.
